Chapter History
The Lancaster Alumnae Chapter started as a club in the early 1990's and held the first planning meeting in the Brownstown home of member Kathy Geist. Using ZTA's national recruitment tools featuring a cassette tape of familiar Zeta tunes, our first members hit the ground running and planned an initial launch party using the cassettes as party invitations.
Our welcome gathering was held in November, 1992 and drew about 20 local Zeta's. From there regular meetings and events were scheduled and our group worked to meet the full requirements for becomming a chapter. We were recognized as such and awarded our charter at Zeta Day in April of 1995 in Lehigh Valley.
We have welcomed many sisters over the years and have bid fond farewells to those who have left the area. The talents of our members are many and we have flourished with their many contributions which have strengthened our local bond as friends as well as our commitment to the Fraternity. We are proud of our accomplishments and successes and even happier that they are shared and realized in the fun we have together:
Crown Chapter 1998, 2000, 2004, 2006, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2014, 2016
Annual Major Donor contributors to ZTAF
Zeta Day Host - 2008 and 2012 - the largest Zeta Day in our district to date!!
We would be remiss if we left out our favorite tradition - our annual holiday party, gift exchange and our special philanthropy that we shop for each season. Our Kappa Psi sisters at Kutztown University keep us young at heart as we lend them our support throughout the year.
2015 marked our 20th anniversary and we were happy to celebrate what has become a rich and rewarding "chapter" in each of our lives as members of the Lancaster, PA Alumnae Chapter! We look forward to many exciting years yet to come!
